Arc Lightning continues to come up with exciting ways to use digital video and rich media to give customers very high value communication tools. In this newsletter we will take a nutshell look at a couple of our recent projects and show you how energized the customers were with the power of Arc Lightning.
Web Video Testimonials
Setili & Associates, a powerful strategy consulting firm with clients such as Delta Air Lines and The Home Depot, enhanced the effectiveness of their website with video testimonials from clients. The professional look, sound and the content construction of the sound bites make these videos a potent communication tool for Setili. CVS Taps the Power of Arc Lightning
CVS Pharmacy executives were trying to figure out whether to proceed with a major initiative. They decided that a video would help them sort through the processes through which they had already been. Putting the months of work into a concise presentation did the trick. They quickly grasped the message and C-Suite execs who viewed the video, after applauding, immediately approved continuation of the initiative. We can't show you the content due to IP issues.
GA DNR Uses Video for Training
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources helped Arc Lightning produce a public service video about the impact of the Spring '07 fires in south Georgia. Once they saw the result, the DNR immediately started using the video for training of employees. Nikki Castleberry, DNR Biologist, "It is great. I showed it to several folks in our office and they all thought it was accurate, great info., and a side of the story that needs to get out there! WELL DONE!"
Printpack Innovation Process
Printpack, a major player in packaging, launches a new innovation process and Arc Lightning is there to document it. Rapid turnaround of the videos allows Printpack to get the word out both internally and to customers, before the second step of the process has begun.
At the same time, Printpack is launching a new look including their web site. Arc Lightning adjusted to the new graphics and created a look to match Printpack's new design. Before the first meeting to discuss the videos, a draft video was completed. That saved a tremendous amount of time
so that managers at Printpack could concentrate of other matters. Once again, Arc Lightning helps a customer rapidly and effectively communicate important messages with minimum impact on the workload of the managers involved.
Launch Institute Empathic Market Sensing
Arc Lightning energized communication of an Empathic Market Sensing meeting, in Hamburg, Germany, by producing videos of the event and putting them on the web. Innovation managers from Nokia, Volkswagen, IBM, and many others shared their experiences and best practices in the art of sensing what their customers need. The meeting was sponsored by the Launch Institute. The message of cutting edge Market Sensing was enhanced by Arc Lightning once again showing that the medium is the message, with lightning turnaround videos on the web.
BorgWarner Global Videos
Arc Lightning just put a jolt into the global image of BorgWarner, a major player in the Automotive Industry. We coordinated video shoots around the world, in 40 factories, collected the videos, on every imaginable format and produced a series of videos.
They give the BorgWarner Global Family an identity. The videos are already being used at meetings. They will also be featured on plasma screens in the lobbies of their facilities.
Arc Lightning turned the videos, including collection, converting formats, music production and edtiting in just three weeks. This is just the latest in a six-year relationship between BorgWarner and Arc Lightning.

Federal Signal Corp. Worldwide Leadership Team Meeting
Federal Signal Corporation held a meeting of world-wide leaders to fine tune their Vision, Mission and Core Values, as well as some proprietary issues. Arc Lightning was brought in to document the meeting and turn lightning videos that started off each day with a recap of the day before. After the three day meeting, a wrap up video of the work that week was projected before CEO Bob Welding got up to give the final speech. That video included content from within one hour of the presentation. Talk about lightning turnaround!

Society for Human Resource Management - Atlanta
SHRM-Atlanta was looking for a tool that would tell prospective members, resource partners and contributors all about their organization. They are the number one resource for the HR professional in Georgia and the fourth largest SHRM chapter in the country. Arc Lightning stepped up and with minimal supervision and precision efficiency, provided a ten-minute video on DVDs that perfectly filled their needs.
The video was presented at a recent chapter meeting and received a very warm reception.
Gary Wheeler, SPHR, GPHR, CBP, President of SHRM-Atlanta was more than satisfied with the results. "Arc Lightning is great at providing video solutions for its clients. The Carter Center
Arc Lightning continues its relationship with The Carter Center. Two years ago we were traipsing all over Jamaica doing a documentary about The Center's election monitoring process. That video is used to educate prospective participant countries and prospective monitors about the process. Currently Arc Lightning is working with the Carter Center's web team to help promote their venues, through the use of Quicktime Virtual Reality panoramas. Eaton Truck
Through our partnership with Business Innovation Consultants, B.I.C., we helped Eaton Truck document their exciting innovation process. At their latest Innovation Summit, just a step of the innovation process, we became part of the meeting. Lightning turnaround of video updates allowed participants to review the key points on a daily basis. That's right, each morning's session started with a wrap-up of the day before. Three days of intensive work were documented with daily updates and when the big boss came in on the last day to see what all these execs had been doing all week, they presented him with a wrap-up video of the week's work. He immediately requested a narrated detailed video of the overall process. We can't divulge detailed secrets of their process, but suffice it to say that this first exposure to Arc Lightning really zapped them.

Federal Signal Corporation
Federal Signal Corporation needed to get the word out about a company-wide initiative, a new way of doing things. That's all we better say about the message. They had planned on about fifteen trainers heading out across the planet to educate folks from the ground up about this new initiative. They wanted to have a video message in the training kit. Kim Dickens, Senior VP of Human Resources had experience with the power of Arc Lightning in a previous life, as head of HR at another client of ours. She was pressed for time and knew that we could make it happen, somehow. The rest as they say is history. She fired an email to us with an outline of the message. We researched quickly to refresh ourselves on the topic and within a day we sent her a script. They tweeked it and we planned on shooting the next week.
Bob Welding, CEO of Federal Signal Corporation takes it from there, "Jim was able to respond very quickly to our last minute need, came to our location to work around my availability, set up the equipment and we were finished taping within 40 minutes even though I had not seen the script prior. He edited and pieced together the 8 minute film to have a professional finished product by the end of the day.
